ジェフリー ディーヴァー (Written by) / Makiko Ikeda (Translation)Bungei Shunshu (Publishing House) / 文春文庫2010年11月10日 (Release date)Bunko (Format) ドンデン返しで有名なミステリー、リンカーン・ライムシリーズ。 昔4作目まで読んだな。 本作では史上最強の敵ウォッチメイカーが登場するらしい。 僕の第二部までの感想は、汚職は非常によくない、怖いけど事件が解決してちょっといい話だったというものでしたが、そこからいつものようにストーリーが二転三転するのだった。 時計の複雑機構(コンプリケーション)か、I see、Interesting。 この天才？犯罪者は今後も登場するみたいだ。 now、尋問の天才キャサリン・ダンスという登場人物を知ったが、優秀だな。 スピンオフ作品もあるみたい。 皆が無事でよかった。
Stephen King (Written by), 恩田陸 (Written by), 風間賢二 (Written by), 広江礼威 (Written by)青土社 (Publishing House)2017年10月27日 (Release date)mook (Format) 僕の趣味の話になるのだが、現代アメリカを代表する小説家・スティーヴン・キングの特集号を読んだ。 1970年代のモダンホラーのよく知られている作家だ。 近年はスティーヴン・キング作品の映像化ラッシュだったという。 僕は高校生、大学生の時、この著者の作品を割と読んでいたのだ。 読んでいない作品も沢山あり、さほど詳しいわけでもないのだが、本書によると、著者の作品はキング節という”感情の渦”、プロット進行の遅さや各登場人物の詳細な描写が特徴と書かれていた。 最初に小説家の恩田陸と翻訳家の風間賢二の対談が載っている。 「IT」がキングの最高傑作という人もいれば、「ザ・スタンド」を挙げる人もいるらしい。 僕は「IT」を支持したいな。 登場人物の子供の頃と大人になってからが交錯しながら描かれていて、ラストの少し哀愁を帯びた感じがいいと思うのです。 「ザ・スタンド」はスチューとフラニーだけ助かり、nick、ラリー、グレンとかが亡くなってしまって。 そしてボリュームがあって本が長いんだ。（「IT」も長いけども） 対話にあるが、確かに「ファイアスターター」とか「ランゴリアーズ」も面白かった。 著者の作品はメイン州のデリーという架空の街が舞台になることが多かったりするが、スモールタウンをアメリカの縮図として書くというのは文学的な伝統でもあるという。 The rest、アメリカは国土が広いのだな。 風間 『呪われた町』もスモールタウンのお話ですが、どんどん住民が吸血鬼になっていってどうして気づかないの？と思うんだけれど、実際に現地にいってみると家と家がものすごく離れていて、他人の家庭内でなにかあっても誰も気がつかない。これじゃどんどん感染していくよなと。 （p.34） これはちょっと怖い。 よく分からないけど、僕的にはUFO神話にも同じ背景があるような気がする。 スティーヴン・キングの作品は、アメリカ文学史上では、リアリズム的風土のもとで書かれたゴシック小説として、登場人物の内面の反映としての恐怖という新しさを持つみたい。 ゴシック小説とはイギリスが発端の「超自然的な怪異がもたらす恐怖小説」とのこと。 other、〈ダークタワー〉サーガについても書かれていた。 僕が本作を読む日は来るのだろうか。 長いからなぁ…、でも面白そうだ。 日本版の装画を多く手がけている藤田新策さんのインタビューもあった。 fearよりもtear、基本的な構造、キングチルドレン、チャンドラー党、音楽等勉強になるな。 本書の書き手の人たちは「デッド・ゾーン」をよく紹介している気がする。 Also、「ペット・セマタリー」はとても怖そうだ… 僕はどちらも未読で、さらに未視聴だが「一四〇八号室」は映画になったのだな。 それ以外にストリーミング・コンテントの話題はためになった。 スティーヴン・キングは1999年に自動車事故に遭って瀕死の重傷を負ったらしく大変だったようで、現在72歳か～。 長生きしてもらいたいですね。 特集とは関係ないが、中村稔の連載も興味を持って読んだ。 他にキングの作品でどれが好きかと聞かれると、内緒〜
高田 明典 (Written by)Kobunsha (Publishing House) / 光文社新書2006年5月20日 (Release date)Kindle version (Format) 暇なのでなんとなく本書を読んだ。フーコー、Heidegger、ウィトゲンシュタイン、リオタールなどの思想を軸に「私」の「生と死」の問題を徹底的に考えた本だという。 僕には馴染みがない思想家が多かった。 全部読むと納得できた。 著者は非常に論理的に考えを述べていると思った。 僕は年齢的にも生活していく上でもう分かっているというか、経験や他の本で読んだ内容が多かったが、philosophy、思想から論理的に考えても同じような考えに至るのだな。 この本は勉強になって有意義なのだが、とにかく論理的なので少し難しいかもと思った。 僕が知らない事も載っていた。 死んでも「〈他者〉によって引き受けられることのない生」としての《私》と、「超越確実性言明」の束としての〈私〉は残るらしい。 The rest、人生は一回性のものだという事も覚えておこうっと。 巻末部でのサイバースペースの話は僕の考えと違う部分もあった。

Haruki Murakami (Written by)Kodansha (Publishing House)1982年10月13日 (Release date)Hardcover (Format) 青春三部作というものの完結編らしい。北海道へ羊を探しに行くという内容だった。文庫版のカスタマーレビューを読んでいたら作者が実際に北海道に滞在した経験があったと書いている方がいて、確かに描かれているものが現実的な気がした。描写や比喩が多くて細心なイメージを受けた。ミステリー？風にも感じられる話で興味を持って読んだ。パセティックという意味は哀れをさそうさま、感動的なさまなのだな。僕の印象としては主人公はhしてばかりいるなと思ったりした。あと1978年の秋の話と思って読んでいたのだが、文庫の下巻の説明には一九八二年秋、僕たちの旅は終わるとある。しかし不思議な出来事が様々書かれていたので齟齬があってもいつの間にかそれだけの時が経ったのだろうと気にはならなかった。（ただの僕の読み過ごしだったらすみません）

塩田 武士 (Written by)Kodansha (Publishing House)2016August 3 - (Release date)Hardcover (Format) グリコ・森永事件をモデルにしたフィクションだという。古いテープから脅迫事件に使われた幼少期の自分の声を見つけ衝撃を受ける曽根氏と、事件を調べる新聞記者阿久津氏の物語がやがて交錯する。事件の発生日時、場所、脅迫・挑戦状の内容、事件報道について、極力史実通りに再現されているらしい。一気に読んだが鳥肌が立って怖いな。月並みな感想だが、未解決事件の闇と犯人家族の悲しさを感じた。本作を読むまであまり考えたことがなかったけども、テープの件で実際に事件に巻き込まれた子供たちがいたのだな。作者の執筆動機の想いが呑み込めた。
