本屋さんで偶然手に取った本書を読んでみた。
興味関心はほとんどないのだが、Old、木曜の怪談という番組でドラマが放送されていた思い出がある。

超能力を持った主人公たちが世間との軋轢？によって破滅する物語かな。
僕的には男性が情欲にまみれており、女性は性格が良くないものという風に描かれていたのが気になった。
世の中そのような男女ばかりでないのは確かだ。
主人公の七瀬は人運が悪いというか、巡りあわせが悪かったな。
超能力者としての驕りがあったのだろうか。

- Ghosts Paul Auster (Written by) / Motoyuki Shibata (Translation) Shinchosha (Publishing House) / 新潮文庫 1995年3月1日 (Release date) Bunko (Format) ポール・オースターの小説。 彼の名を広めた「ニューヨーク3部作」の第2作目だという。 ストーリーは、とある私立探偵に奇妙な依頼が舞い込むというもの。 ある男を見張ってほしいというのだ。 But、その男は毎日何かを書き、読んでいるだけ。 だんだんと探偵は落ち着かなくなり、とうとう行動を開始する… 文庫で120ページくらい。 短いのでサクッと読んだ。 登場人物にブルーとかホワイトとかブラックとか色の名前がつけられているのが印象的だった。 最初読んだときは、ストーリーがちょっと分からなかったのだが、巻末の解説を読んでよく分かった。 解説は大事だな。 ホワイト/ブラックもおかしなことを考えるものだ。 自分が生きているあかしとしてブルーを必要としたようだが、孤独だったのかな。 途中で1度だけ登場した女性とも別れたのだろうか。 それにしても、巻き込まれたブルーの怒りはもっともだと思った。 ドッキリじゃないんだから、こういう奇妙なことはやめてもらいたいよな。 ブルーは前向きで強い性格の持ち主だったから、不安な状況にもまどわされることがなかったのだろう。
