なんとなくこの小説を読み返した。
通常の論理的な一貫性が失われている男ムルソーを主人公に、不条理の認識を追求した作品だという。
読んでいると、僕はムルソーに感情移入しちゃって彼がそんなにひどい人間だとは思えないのだけどな。
彼が自分の行為の結果について裁かれるのは仕方ないけども。
こういうとき愛する存在がいたり優しさに触れた経験があるかどうかが僕は大事だと思っていて。
彼も愛や優しさを知っていたらよかったのに。
そうしたら物語は変わってきただろう。
本書の舞台はアルジェリアのアルジェというところらしい。
地中海ってやつですな。
アルジェの永遠の夏か。
よいですねぇ。
The rest、巻末の解説に描かれていたが、カミュは実存主義者ではなかったのだな。
