突然宇宙人であるという意識に目覚めたある一家を描いたSF小説。
最近映画化されたらしい。
2017年5月26日公開だってお。
僕も雑誌の映画紹介記事でこの作品を知った口である。
The story is、地球を救おうとする宇宙人（？）家族についてだ。
他にも、人類全体を滅ぼそうとする悪の宇宙人（？）3人組が登場したりする。
彼らが本当に宇宙人なのか、妄想にとりつかれたただの人間なのか僕は判断がつきかねていたが、この小説のラストを読むと真実が分かった。
そういうことだったのだろう。
As for me、家長である父親、大杉重一郎の考えた人類の墓碑銘草案はなかなかいいなと思った。
人間の5つの美点をうまくまとめたものらしい。
そして人類の歴史はこれ以上でもこれ以下でもなかったという。
この作者の作品は昔「金閣寺」を読んだはずだが、もはやよく覚えていない。
このようなSF小説も執筆していたんだな。
読んでみると、ただ会話のかけ合いで物語が進んでいくのではなく、合間の情景の描写表現がうまいなぁという印象を受けた。
よくいろんな難しい言葉を知っていて、次から次へと表現が思い浮かぶものだ。
やっぱり小説家は著者ごとにそれぞれ独自の文体というものがあるものなのかね。
一方で、後半では長台詞も出てくるし、すごいものだ。
他の作品も読んでみようかなぁ…
