• Happy life of passionate programmers and software developers Chad Fowler (Written by) / でびあんぐる (Translation) オーム社 (Publishing House) 2010年2月26日 (Release date) Kindle版 プリント・レプリカ (Format) 著者の経験から、ソフトウェア開発者にとって有益なヒントをいろいろ教えてくれる本。 起きている時間の半分は仕事に費やされる。 つまり人生とは仕事、そうであるなら自分の仕事を好きになったほうがいいと著者は言う。 確かになと僕は思った。 仕事は仕事と割り切ってこなして、趣味で自分のやりたいことをやろうかなと思っていたが、どうせなら自分のやりたいことを仕事にするのがいいか… 著者いわく、仕事に情熱を持てるかが大事で、それは仕事のパフォーマンスにも影響するという。 まぁそうだろうな。 他にもいろいろためになることが書いてあった。 印象に残ったのは何事もほり下げて考えることとか、毎日ヒットを出すつもりでということとかかな。 著者は元プロのミュージシャンだったらしく、ジャズのサックスプレイヤーとしての経験をソフトウェア開発に関連づけるたとえ話がでてきたりして、I thought it was better.。
• Story Theory Fundamentals and Applications 橋本 陽介 (Written by)Kodansha (Publishing House) / 講談社選書メチエ2017年4月10日 (Release date)Kindle version (Format) 物語の背後にある設計図を論じる理論、文学の研究をする科学である物語論（ナラトロジー）について書かれた本。いろいろな作品を取りあげて具体的なテクスト分析を行いながら、話がすすんでゆく。第1部は基礎編（理論編）となっており、主にフランスのジェラール・ジュネットの理論などが説明されていた。第2部は応用編（分析編）となっている。僕は後半はチラチラと読んだが、ガルシア=マルケスという作家の「百年の孤独」という作品はかなり有名なのだな。 The rest、第11章の最後に興味深いことが書いてあった。 現実は物語的に把握され、物語は把握された現実のように表象される。（中略）現実は私たちの感情に作用するが、物語も読み手の感情に作用する。それも、抽象化され、普遍化されている分、時には現実以上の作用をおよぼすのである。（第11章、電子書籍のためページ数不明） 物語の紡ぎ手には大きな責任が伴うことを忘れてはいけないと思った。Recently、このことは十分に理解されているだろうか。 テキスト分析については多様な意見がある？ようだが、物語論を知っておくのはまぁ悪いことではないか。情報が多いに越したことはないし。However,、何でもかんでも理論を振りかざせばいいというわけではないだろうからな。小説の全体は常にその部分の総和より大きいと言う。理論では測れないものがきっとあるのだ。
