僕が「ひぐらしのなく頃に」を初めて見たのは何気なく付けていたテレビで流れていたアニメだった。
今思えば、あれは綿流し編だったと思う。
それで気になって漫画を集めたりしたものだ。
ちなみに僕は原作の同人ゲームはプレイしていない。
漫画の鬼隠し編や祟殺し編を読んで、一体どういうことなんだ？と圧倒された。
それで罪滅し編や目明し編を途中まで読んでるうちに、確かこのゲームが発売されたと思う。
解答編の罪滅し編や目明し編、また皆殺し編で大体の謎が解け、最後の澪尽し編をプレイしている時はとても面白かった記憶がある。
ホラーやオカルト、サスペンスの要素がうまい具合に組み合わされていて、まぁちょっと怖いシーンもあるが、人と人との絆の大切さみたいなものも描いていて、大ヒットしたのもうなずけるなと思った。
The rest、このゲームはとても長いです。
最後のほうは○ボタンを連打して、キャラクターボイスを聞かずにストーリーを読んでいったが、それでも80時間くらいかかった思い出がある。
でも面白かったなぁ…
今では「ひぐらしのなく頃に粋
」っていう完全版？も発売されているみたいですね。
すごい高騰してますが…

- Skeleton crew (1) skeleton crew Stephen King (Written by) / 矢野 浩三郎 (Translation) Fusosha (Publishing House) / 扶桑社ミステリー 1988年5月 (Release date) Bunko (Format) スティーヴン・キングの短編集「スケルトン・クルー」の第1巻。 本巻には中編「霧」が収められている。 これは「ミスト」という映画にもなった。 And、映画と本巻では異なる結末になっている。 「霧」がどういう話かというと、突然町が霧に覆われ、霧の中から怪物たちが現れたのである。 主人公はスーパーマーケットに閉じ込められ、そこからの脱出を試みる。 最後のほうに現れた巨大な六本脚の生き物、あれは一体何だったのだろうか… スティーヴン・キングの作品は実は背景のルーツみたいなものがつながっているらしいが、この怪物も暗黒の塔のある異世界のものなのかな。 ダーク・タワー途中までしか読んでないんですよね。 スティーヴン・キングの作品は好きで昔よく読んでいたのだが、最近は読んでいない。 いろいろ新刊が出ているみたいですね。
